Something Isn’t Always Better Than Nothing (Honeywell’s Horrible 6110)

This is the Lock Picking Lawyer and a friend of mine, who is starting law school asked me to take a look at this honeywell model: 6110 digital security box. You see she’s moving into graduate student housing, and this is one of the products recommended by the school to secure valuables things like computers and wallets. Now no one was expecting this to be fort knox, but I don’t think she was expecting it to be defeated with one of the lowest skill attacks out there. Let me show you what I showed her. This is currently locked.

I’m going to take one of the wafer jigglers from my covert companion and just jiggle, this lock open and just that quickly. We got this open. Let’s lock it back up again and try it one more time. So you can see it was not a fluke once again with the same wafer, jiggler, okay, folks, when something is this easy to open, I think it actually makes your security worse. After all, a thief doesn’t need to spend time.

Looking for your valuables you’ve conveniently put them all in one place for them, so honeywell seems to have done a fantastic job, proving that when it comes to security, something isn’t always better than nothing. In any case, that’s all I have for you today. If you do have any questions or comments about this, please put them below. If you like this video and would like to see more like it, please subscribe and as always have a nice day. Thank you.
