People Still Use These? Retail AutoPegs

This is the last begin lawyer and what I have for you today are a couple of Auto pegs sent to my P.O box by an anonymous viewer. These little plastic devices are used in retail asset protection as an anti-theft measure. Essentially, they attach the merchandise to a trigger for the shoplifting sensors at the door. Here I have them attached to a couple of high value.

High demand items, the kinds of things that everyone is shoplifting these days, a rotary phone lock and a floppy disk drive lock. Now, if you thought some special device was required to defeat these well think again, all you need is a reasonably powerful magnet. Let’s give it a try. Now, let’s put aside the fact that they are comically easy to open and realize that auto pegs stopped being a deterrent back when these locks were still relevant today, shoplifters either don’t care about setting off the alarms or already know how to defeat things like this either With a magnet or a pair of scissors, in any case, that’s all I have for you today. If you do have any questions or comments about this, please put them below.
