Covert Companion Upgrade #4

This Is The Lock Picking lawyer, and it’s been almost two years since I introduced the covert companion over on covertinstruments.com. Essentially, this is a production version of the tools that I carry every day. Since then, I’ve released three expansion packs to extend its capabilities, and today I will show you the fourth. The new tools shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise to regular viewers because it’s meant to exploit what I’ve referred to as the most significant security flaw in North America.

It involves these atoms right style mechanisms that can be found in the majority of glass storefront doors in the U.S. A few months ago, in video 1455, I introduced this tool which will open these doors, but then I decided to squeeze the capability into the covert companion. Here’S how it works. We simply pull this tool out and unfold the hook.

We can then slide that hook in between the door and the frame maneuver it so it grabs onto this little post and you can see when we pull down the door opens right up. Let’S do that one more time, so you can see it was not a fluke and we can move on to this other one. We’Ll do the exact same thing, and once again, we will do it for a second time now. This capability is really striking when shown on a full door, but finding stores that, let me break in has proven a little bit difficult. So this time around I’ll use some old footage of opening my old landlord’s office.

You can see we really don’t have enough room to get that tool into position. So I’m going to take a small, pry bar and just place it in between the door and the frame and with a little bit of force, we’ve created a ton of room there. I can now slide that tool into position foreign and we got that open.
