Alhambra: Dodger Leigh, Ashley Johnson, and Shane Nickerson join Wil on TableTop

When I started gaming 25 years ago, I went to my friendly local game shop every Saturday and bought whatever the hot new thing was that week. Sometimes, I got an instant classic. Most of the time I got a [INAUDIBLE]. Today on TableTop, Ashley Johnson Dodger Leigh, and Shane Nickerson are here to play an award-winning classic that captured the gaming world’s imagination when it was released in 2003. Hop in the TARDIS, because we are going to 13th century Spain to find out who can build the most beautiful Alhambra.

[INTRO MUSIC] WIL WHEATON: This is a euro-style set collecting game. We are master builders working to construct a beautiful palace called an Alhambra. And to do that, we have gathered artisans from around the world to build pavilions, gardens, arcades, and towers to guard them. Each artisan wants to be paid in his native currency. On each turn, we get one of three actions.

We can draw money from the bank. We can spend money on buildings. Or we can rearrange buildings in our Alhambras. Normally, we only get one action per turn. But, if we spend exact change to buy a building, we get a bonus action.

This means that it’s possible on one turn to buy all four buildings that are available. We place the buildings at the end of our turn. And there are a few rules that govern where buildings can be placed. But rather than confuse you with all of them, I’ll tell you the one that’s most important.

Empty areas have to go with empty areas.

And walls have to touch walls. There are three scoring phases in Alhambra. The first two are triggered when randomly inserted scoring cards are drawn from the money deck. The final scoring phase is triggered when we have run out of buildings to construct. In each scoring phase, the player with the most of one type of building will receive points.

Players will also receive bonus points for each segment of their longest contiguous wall. Which player will have the most beautiful palace? Let’s find out, because it is time to play Alhambra. ASHLEY JOHNSON: My name is Ashley Johnson. And I am an actor.

SHANE NICKERSON: My name is Shane Nickerson. And I’m currently a television producer and actor. DODGER LEIGH: Hi. My name is Brooke– or Dodger. And I have a YouTube channel called youtube.

com/pres shearttocontinue where I talk about gaming news. WIL WHEATON: In Alhambra, the player who is dealt the fewest cards goes first.

I was dealt the fewest cards, so I’m going first. SHANE NICKERSON: Rigged. WIL WHEATON: It’s not rigged.

SHANE NICKERSON: Right. WIL WHEATON: I will prove to you that it’s not rigged. My cards are lousy for what I want to buy. So I’m actually going to just take money from the bank. I will reload the bank.

Shane, it’s your turn. SHANE NICKERSON: I will start off– WIL WHEATON: Exact change. SHANE NICKERSON: –with a bonus move. WIL WHEATON: You get a bonus move for that. SHANE NICKERSON: I’ll take that blue nine.

WIL WHEATON: Take that blue nine. All right. That’ll be the end of your turn. SHANE NICKERSON: That’s it for me. WIL WHEATON: So go ahead and place your– what’s brown– arcades.

DODGER LEIGH: Is it me now? I haven’t ever played this game before.

My first time. I’m going to get the six quarters. WIL WHEATON: The chambers.

You’re paying exact change for the chambers. DODGER LEIGH: Yes. WIL WHEATON: OK. Every time you play exact change, you get a bonus action. That makes it possible for someone to run the table and get all four buildings on one turn.

ASHLEY JOHNSON: I’m going to take money from the bank. WIL WHEATON: All right. ASHLEY JOHNSON: And that’s all I’m going to do. WIL WHEATON: It’s a good move. That’s a great move.

ASHLEY JOHNSON: It’s a great move WIL WHEATON: It feels good, doesn’t it? ASHLEY JOHNSON: It feels good.

Strategy will take you a very long way. But you have to have the right cards. So 50-50 luck-strategy.

WIL WHEATON: You know, taking money from the bank is working out so well for me– ASHLEY JOHNSON: You’re going to do it again? WIL WHEATON: –that I’m thinking I’m probably going to do it again. And I think I’m going to just take these two orange deuces. All right. You’re up, Shane.

SHANE NICKERSON: All right. I like that move. WIL WHEATON: Good. SHANE NICKERSON: All right, great. I’ll take that four.

I’ll take that yellow four. [LAUGHTER] WIL WHEATON: Welcome to drawing money. This morning, on National Public Radio, we’re drawing money. That green six has come out. Green sixes are in early this year.

SHANE NICKERSON: Green sixes are fun to draw too. DODGER LEIGH: OK I’m going to get the orange garden.

Exact change. ASHLEY JOHNSON: Nice. WIL WHEATON: One orange garden.

Exact change again? DODGER LEIGH: Yeah. SHANE NICKERSON: Dodger– she’s never played before either– or so she says. I think she just gets it. So she makes me nervous.

Maybe it’s the green hair. WIL WHEATON: Here’s your garden. DODGER LEIGH: Thank you. WIL WHEATON: I’ll go ahead and this and put that there. Ashley, you want to reload the money and I’ll reload the buildings?

ASHLEY JOHNSON: I’ll reload the money. That will be my job. WIL WHEATON: All right. Look at– we’re a good team. ASHLEY JOHNSON: I’m going to pay exact change for the tower.

WIL WHEATON: OK. Nice. ASHLEY JOHNSON: And then so I have another thing I can do. WIL WHEATON: Tower is the most valuable piece of the game for scoring.

ASHLEY JOHNSON: So basically I’m winning.

I just really, really want to win. WIL WHEATON: So you guys are going for the actual add buildings to your Alhambra strategy, I see. That’s a little bit different from the strategy I’m using. SHANE NICKERSON: Are you just trying to get all the money? WIL WHEATON: Which is to not ever get cards that you can use.

It’s a little too early to say who’s absolutely going to win, which is sort of keeping my spirits up. Because if it was not too early to say who’s absolutely going to win, we would say that I am absolutely going to lose.

Look, I just– I need these. ASHLEY JOHNSON: I’m having a really hard time not looking at your money right now. WIL WHEATON: Everywhere I go.

It’s so true. OK. I’m going to overpay– SHANE NICKERSON: No. WIL WHEATON: –for a white chambers. White chambers– put it down there.

And oh– look. I’m trying to take your job away from you. ASHLEY JOHNSON: [INAUDIBLE] you’re just doing horrible at your job. WIL WHEATON: I know. ASHLEY JOHNSON: What’s happening is, Wil was having a little bit of trouble placing the buildings and the money.

So he gave me the job of putting the money down. And so basically I’m co-hosting this as well. WIL WHEATON: And then that goes there. Oh look– a garden. Sure glad I don’t have exact change for that.

SHANE NICKERSON: I will take some cash off the board.

WIL WHEATON: All right. What would you like? SHANE NICKERSON: Let me have the six. WIL WHEATON: OK.

There’s a green six. DODGER LEIGH: I’m going to take the orange five. ASHLEY JOHNSON: OK. I’m going to pay a little bit extra for the chamber. WIL WHEATON: All right.

You paid 12 for the 11 chamber. Very good. Normally, I don’t like to overpay twice. And normally, I really don’t like to overpay like this. But I have to get that tower before someone else gets that tower.

So I’m going to overpay by one to get that tower. So I’m going to pay eight for the tower that costs nine, not six. God damn it. DODGER LEIGH: Wil, I think, just keeps having bum cards. WIL WHEATON: Everything’s coming up Wheaton.

SHANE NICKERSON: I can afford that arcade. And I like arcades. WIL WHEATON: Oh look at that. Exact change arcade for Shane. ASHLEY JOHNSON: Boom.

SHANE NICKERSON: So give me that orange nine while we’re at it.

WIL WHEATON: All right. Here you go. SHANE NICKERSON: Can I have a flourish for the end of my turn? WIL WHEATON: Yeah.

Go. SHANE NICKERSON: It’s a self high-five. WIL WHEATON: Nice. ASHLEY JOHNSON: That was good. SHANE NICKERSON: It’s my flourish.

DODGER LEIGH: I’m going to buy the garden with exact. WIL WHEATON: Garden for exact change. You are like the king of the gardens over there. ASHLEY JOHNSON: Dodger’s kind of sneaky. She keeps it quiet.

And she’s kind of one of those ones that just goes in there and just kind of– she could take it all. She could take it all. WIL WHEATON: Dodger’s some kind of magic, card manipulating, statistic punking, probability destroying, creature from an outer realm I think. Because it’s exact change, after exact change, after exact change, after exact change. ASHLEY JOHNSON: All right.

I’m going to– WIL WHEATON: You’re up, Ashley.

ASHLEY JOHNSON: I’m going to pay exact change for an arcade. WIL WHEATON: God damn it. ASHLEY JOHNSON: And then– I’m going to put that there. I think that’s allowed.

WIL WHEATON: Yes. That is allowed. ASHLEY JOHNSON: And then I’m going to– I need money. I’m going to go with yellow. WIL WHEATON: All right.

Yellow nine. Something that costs five. Something that costs five. Something that costs five. Something that costs five.

Something that costs five. Two is more than five– I mean less than five. [LAUGHTER] WIL WHEATON: It’s been a really long day, you guys. ASHLEY JOHNSON: Wil is not very good at math at this point in the game. WIL WHEATON: Wil brain not work, late, tired.

No happen– fun. SHANE NICKERSON: When in the game do you get to say Alhambra? WIL WHEATON: I don’t know. SHANE NICKERSON: There should be a time when something happens– Alhambra. ASHLEY JOHNSON: We’ll find that time.

WIL WHEATON: All right. I’m going to take some money. That’s what I’m doing. And now I’m going to put money back down. Money doesn’t come out of there.

ASHLEY JOHNSON: Oh, I’m sorry. WIL WHEATON: Oh. Scoring. [MUSIC PLAYING] WIL WHEATON: Does anyone have a blue pavilion? SHANE NICKERSON: No.

WIL WHEATON: Does anyone have a red seraglio? I do. I get two points. Two points for white. Thank you.

Oh, why you got to knock me down like that? DODGER LEIGH: I’m sorry. WIL WHEATON: Does anyone have a brown arcade? SHANE NICKERSON: I have two arcades. ASHLEY JOHNSON: I have one.

Shoot. So that means you outdid me. WILL: Shane, you have more arcades than anyone else. So you get three points. Does anyone have chambers?

Say no. ASHLEY JOHNSON: One. WIL WHEATON: Each of us has one chamber.

So round it down. We each get one point for the chambers.

One. Excellent. Gardens? DODGER LEIGH: I have two. WIL WHEATON: Gardens are green.

You have two gardens? OK. So you will get five points for gardens. Way to go. OK.

And does anyone have a tower? DODGER LEIGH: One. ASHLEY JOHNSON: I have one tower. WIL WHEATON: And you each have one tower. So that will be three points for each of you.

That’s nice. Now let’s total up walls for bonus points. Would you please give white two points for a wall? DODGER LEIGH: [BOOP] WIL WHEATON: OK. And– ASHLEY JOHNSON: Two points.

WIL WHEATON: Two points to blue. And we’ll just keep going around that way since you’re there. DODGER LEIGH: I have three. WIL WHEATON: Three points for green. And how many points do you have?

SHANE NICKERSON: Three for me too. WIL WHEATON: And three points for orange. SHANE NICKERSON: All right. I’m still in the race. ASHLEY JOHNSON: Friendship.

WIL WHEATON: All right. That’s not bad. Yay. We’re hanging out. SHANE NICKERSON: They look like more than friends.

WIL WHEATON: Alone atop the walls of the– that’s when you get to Alhambra. SHANE NICKERSON: Alhambra. WIL WHEATON: Alhambra. Yes. DODGER LEIGH: I’m hoping that I can ride this the whole way and just keep getting good cards.

But sometimes, the tides will turn. ASHLEY JOHNSON: I just really need to get more points, anywhere, any how. WIL WHEATON: And now it’s Shane’s turn. SHANE NICKERSON: Well, I do like hoarding. I do.

DODGER LEIGH: Yes. You’ve got like a world of cards right in your hands.

ASHLEY JOHNSON: We have a lot of hoarders. SHANE NICKERSON: So I’m going to raise. WIL WHEATON: I’m out.

SHANE NICKERSON: It worked. I’ll take the orange seven. I guess I can get it. WIL WHEATON: Here you go, orange seven. SHANE NICKERSON: Thanks.

The gambler in me wants to just save all my money. And then hopefully I’ll be able to pay exact change for three things in a row and just shut it down. ASHLEY JOHNSON: Shane is a little bit of a hoarder. He keeps a lot of money, which could end up killing us all in the end, because he could get exact change. WIL WHEATON: I am going to buy this garden for exact change.

And I’m going to put my card right here, next to my arcades. Hi. We’re having a garden party. SHANE NICKERSON: Let’s see here. I think I will overpay for this arcade.

WIL WHEATON: Look at that. You’re like the boss of arcades. I don’t think Shane understands that they’re like shopping arcades, not video game arcades.

SHANE NICKERSON: I’m focusing on arcades. I think I have three.

A might have four. I should know that. See, that’s why I’m not good at games. I’m not really thinking too about the Alhambra, which I should be. So I’ll buy something without even looking at the edges, and then realize I have no place for it.

I should really get better at this game. Does this count? WIL WHEATON: No, you can’t do that. SHANE NICKERSON: Oh because I have to– WIL WHEATON: That’s OK. You can put it on that arcade.

SHANE NICKERSON: Oh yeah. WIL WHEATON: Why am I helping you? This is why I never win on this show.

Oh, you’re doing a thing that would make it easier for me to defeat you. Let me talk you out of that and put you in a position to destroy the game.

SHANE NICKERSON: I like your style. DODGER LEIGH: Is it me? WIL WHEATON: It’s you, yes indeed. DODGER LEIGH: I’m going to buy that garden. WIL WHEATON: The one that just came out?

DODGER LEIGH: Yes. WIL WHEATON: Wow. Look at you. Wow. What a shock.

DODGER LEIGH: I know. Isn’t it though? WIL WHEATON: Exact change. DODGER LEIGH: It’s absolutely luck that I keep getting exact change.

I’m not sure how that happens.

But in the moment when I’m getting money cards, I just take whatever makes the most sense. ASHLEY JOHNSON: OK. So, let me make a decision here of what I can do. I’m going to do this. WIL WHEATON: Exact change for a pavilion.

ASHLEY JOHNSON Oooh! WIL WHEATON: Hoorah. Yay. And exact change for another pavilion. ASHLEY JOHNSON: Oooh!

WIL WHEATON: Yay. And overpaying for a garden. ASHLEY JOHNSON: Oh no. WIL WHEATON: Now let’s see if I can just put these in my Alhambra somewhere. This is going to go here.

And then this is going to go right there. ASHLEY JOHNSON: Oh. Nice. WIL WHEATON: OK ASHLEY JOHNSON: What’s happening over here? WIL WHEATON: Things are– I know, it’s weird.

But I just had a pretty good turn. Until now, I thought Dodger was just going to completely run away with it. But I think I may have put a little salt on her tail. DODGER LEIGH: I’m a little worried about Wil catching up to me, because his game is very well rounded. So we’ll see how it goes.

WIL WHEATON: Shane Nickerson, it is your turn, sir. SHANE NICKERSON: First thing I’ll do is go for the “ar-chad.” ASHLEY JOHNSON: You are in the “ar-chad” business. WIL WHEATON: Look at that. SHANE NICKERSON: I’m in the arcade business.

DODGER LEIGH: So much aggression. WIL WHEATON: Can you tell that we are 80’s children? SHANE NICKERSON: I love “ar-chads.” WIL WHEATON: Because we’re like, all the arcades, come on.

Give me more, give me more.

It’s not that kind of arcade. I don’t care. I still want it. DODGER LEIGH: I just want them. SHANE NICKERSON: And with my extra bonus move, I will take some of them of that mobney.

WIL WHEATON: Which one– [LAUGHTER] Excellent use of Phil Hellmuth reference that I’m the only person in the world will get. SHANE NICKERSON: I’ll take the ocho. WIL WHEATON: That was a great jopke. DODGER LEIGH: I’m taking this. WIL WHEATON: Dodger’s reloading the exact change gun.

ASHLEY JOHNSON: I’m going to do that. WIL WHEATON: I’m going to do an interesting thing.

I am going to pay exact change for this garden. OK. I am not going to put the garden into my Alhambra.

I’m going to put it into my reserve. That is what I am doing. I wanted to get that garden out of play, so that the other players who have a lot of gardens don’t have an opportunity to build on their garden lead.

ASHLEY JOHNSON: I knew it was going do be a score card. WIL WHEATON: Scoring happens.

WIL WHEATON: I sort of feel like we’re playing for second place, which is kind of silly because there is no second place in this game. There’s first place and everyone else loses at the same time. Wow. Awesome It’s my turn then. I’m going to take these two.

SHANE NICKERSON: I’ll take the eight. DODGER LEIGH: OK, I am going to overpay for the green chamber. WIL WHEATON: Does that join your already ridiculously long wall? DODGER LEIGH: Not yet. But if I get a guy here– ASHLEY JOHNSON: But this one’s really long.

WIL WHEATON: Wow. All right, Ashley, what are you going to do? ASHLEY JOHNSON: OK. I’m going to take this. WIL WHEATON: Listen, I’m not saying that we should gang up on Dodger.

But I’m not not saying that you should not make it your mission in life to buy that chambers. Because if she buys that chambers– ASHLEY JOHNSON: Forget about it. WIL WHEATON: Oh she can’t even play that chambers there though. Never mind. DODGER LEIGH: I could play it right here though.

WIL WHEATON: As I was saying, you have to gang up on Dodger. DODGER LEIGH: [INAUDIBLE HIGH PITCH VOICE] WIL WHEATON: I’m not saying that you should not not do that. But I’m also not not saying they should not not not not do that. SHANE NICKERSON: I’m overwhelmed by negatives. I don’t– I can’t keep track of– what am I supposed to do?

WIL WHEATON: You just have to stop her from getting that chambers. It’s just what you have to do. It’s really important. SHANE NICKERSON: We could kill her. WIL WHEATON: I swear to God, we could totally.

No one would even know. SHANE NICKERSON: We could just– we could just kill her. WIL WHEATON: We could just take her downstairs and put her underneath– DODGER LEIGH: I’ve gotta go. SHANE NICKERSON: Oh. OK.

WIL WHEATON: All right. I’m going to pay exact change for the seraglio. And it’s good. SHANE NICKERSON: No. I would have made me a super wall.

WIL WHEATON: It’s going to go right there. SHANE NICKERSON: Hoarding does not work. WIL WHEATON: I’m in the pavilion business. Surely there is a lot of land to go around in this place. You would not need to purchase a pavilion on account of how you have so many arcades.

SHANE NICKERSON: I’m going to take this seven. DODGER LEIGH: Dodger, you’re up.

I’m going to buy a pavilion with exact. WIL WHEATON: Why you son of a– Dodger. Oh.

I have exact change. I have a little more exact change. By the way, guess what I have guys? Is it exact change? No.

Yeah. It’s exact change. All right. I’m going to do this. I want this and I want this.

DODGER LEIGH: Tea bag fell in there again. ASHLEY JOHNSON: Tea bag. DODGER LEIGH: Darn string. SHANE NICKERSON: Fighting tea bag jokes. WIL WHEATON: Must not make tea bag– SHANE NICKERSON: Don’t talk about– WIL WHEATON: Stay with me Nickerson.

Don’t you dare quit on me now. I didn’t drag you through 600 lines of Nazi gunfire for you to make a tea bag joke now. SHANE NICKERSON: I’m good. I’m good, sarge. Balls in the mouth.

[SCREAMING] The tea bagging joke? I mean, tea bagging jokes always go to the same place, which is balls in the mouth. I believe. I don’t think there is anywhere else for it to go. WIL WHEATON: Balls in the mouth.

SHANE NICKERSON: See? It’s right there. We just high-fived balls in the mouth. Two guys high-fiving balls in the mouth. Nothing wrong with that.

We’re good. WIL WHEATON: Balls in the mouth. SHANE NICKERSON: Balls in the mouth. Double high-five for two balls. I’m going to start with the first tower.

Exact change. ASHLEY JOHNSON: All right. WIL WHEATON: Wow Exact change for the first tower. SHANE NICKERSON: I’m going to take the second tower for exact change. WIL WHEATON: Exact change for the second tower.

Someone’s in the tower business all of the sudden. ASHLEY JOHNSON: Someone’s in the tower business. WIL WHEATON: Remember when you cared about arcades? SHANE NICKERSON: I’m out of that business. I’m in the tower business now.

It’s all about towers. WIL WHEATON: Towers are the future.

SHANE NICKERSON: Towers are the future. Arcades are yesterday. WIL WHEATON: Nobody’s going to be down on the ground.

There’s dirt and mud on the ground. Everybody’s going to be up in the top of towers. SHANE NICKERSON: Looking down on those filthy, filthy arcades. ASHLEY JOHNSON: I’m going to buy the arcade. SHANE NICKERSON: Good luck.

[LAUGHTER] WIL WHEATON: I’m buying this tower for exact change. SHANE NICKERSON: I’m buying this tower for exact change. WIL WHEATON: I’m going to buy this tower. And I’m going to pay exact change for it. SHANE NICKERSON: Then what I’m going to do is I’m going to go ahead and add it to my Alhambra.

I’d be terrified of that guy. WIL WHEATON: Because what that guy does after he tells you that, he kills you. He kills you and he puts you in the foundation of the tower. SHANE NICKERSON: He eats your head too. WIL WHEATON: He does.

Shane and I met a little over a decade ago when we were both young writers at the Acme Comedy Theater.

So we get together, we start riffing, we can’t help it. [GROANING] SHANE NICKERSON: Here we go. I’ve got it. I’m going to all of these.

Can I? WIL WHEATON: You sure can. Look at that. SHANE NICKERSON: Exact change? WIL WHEATON: All right.

Look at that. Look at that. Look at what’s happening. ASHLEY JOHNSON: I really needed that garden piece. Dodger.

WIL WHEATON: This is the last tile. Hi, Ashley. It’s your turn now. ASHLEY JOHNSON: I know.

I had something great planned.

Didn’t happen for me. WIL WHEATON: Somebody came along with more money and took your garden away from you? ASHLEY JOHNSON: Someone came along with exact change. Story of my life. WIL WHEATON: Story of my life.

ASHLEY JOHNSON: All right. So let me just get this with exact change. Scrambling a little bit. SHANE NICKERSON: What is that? An “ar-chad”?

ASHLEY JOHNSON: It’s a tower.

WIL WHEATON: Tower. ASHLEY JOHNSON: But I have to put it in the reserve. Towards the end I was kind of scrambling a bit. And I made a lot of really bad choices with pieces that I bought.

WIL WHEATON: That is the end of the game. SHANE NICKERSON: I thought we were supposed to auction. Don’t we auction these? WIL WHEATON: Oh, that’s right. We auction.

I forgot about the auction. I’m sorry. ASHLEY JOHNSON: [INAUDIBLE] WIL WHEATON: I can buy that tower for three. SHANE NICKERSON: One.

But I have the most, so it’s an ace.

WIL WHEATON: No. It’s not an ace. It’s a one. I mean– right. That’s what I meant.

All right. I buy the tower. How about the green? Who can buy the green tower? SHANE NICKERSON: I have four.

ASHLEY JOHNSON: I have seven. WIL WHEATON: So Ashley gets that tower. And if you have a place that you can add it, you can add it. DODGER LEIGH: Oh snaps. WIL WHEATON: Who can buy the blue chambers?

SHANE NICKERSON: Not me. WIL WHEATON: Three? DODGER LEIGH: Six. WIL WHEATON: All right.

There you go.

Place that chambers that you wanted. So I guess the next thing we do is we total up our points in the last scoring phase of the game, everybody. OK. SHANE NICKERSON: So here’s one lesson if you’re playing Alhambra. Don’t just buy arcades because you love arcades.

It didn’t help. Go for the towers. I men, the towers sounds boring, but in the end, you’ll win. Alhambra. ASHLEY JOHNSON: Alhambra.

WIL WHEATON: Ladies and gentlemen of the internet, ladies and gentlemen of the table, Dodger Leigh is the most Alhambred Alhambra with 111 points. So congratulations, Dodger. [APPLAUSE] SHANE NICKERSON: I figured if I’m not going to win, come in last. Everyone remembers who came in first and last. Nobody remembers the middle people.

So if you can’t win it, be the worst. It’s a good philosophy when you’re playing board games. Are you looking for the loser couch? ASHLEY JOHNSON: Yeah, it’s right here. WIL WHEATON: Do you know where it is?

SHANE NICKERSON: It’s around here somewhere. WIL WHEATON: It’s around here? Well maybe it’s [INAUDIBLE] what I’ve re-christened for the duration of this episode, the friendship lounge.

SHANE NICKERSON: I like that. WIL WHEATON: Because you’re my friends in real life.

And I’m happy to sit here with you. You guys enjoy the couch. SHANE NICKERSON: OK. ASHLEY JOHNSON: We will. WIL WHEATON: I’m going to go down to the wall of victory and congratulate Dodger.

SHANE NICKERSON: Say hi to her for me. ASHLEY JOHNSON: We can handle it. WIL WHEATON: Do you want me to take a message to Dodger? SHANE NICKERSON: Yeah, just tell her– ASHLEY JOHNSON: Tell her congrats. WIL WHEATON: OK.

I’ll do that. All right. ASHLEY JOHNSON: What did you want to tell her? SHANE NICKERSON: That’s good. ASHLEY JOHNSON: Bye.

SHANE NICKERSON: If we play it again I could win. ASHLEY JOHNSON: You want to play a two-player? SHANE NICKERSON: We could.

ASHLEY JOHNSON: All right. Let’s do it.

SHANE NICKERSON: Hi, I’m back. Just me this time. [WHISTLES] Less fun without other people. WIL WHEATON: So, Dodger. So it’s kind of about how you kicked the [BLEEP] out of everybody in this game.

DODGER LEIGH: Was not expecting that at all. WIL WHEATON: Remember how you went past 100? DODGER LEIGH: I do. I remember that. WIL WHEATON: Well, you probably want this then.

I did not know this, but the game that we have– we have the super deluxo edition of the game– you actually get a plus 100 token to keep. This is for you. DODGER LEIGH: What? I get to keep that forever? WIL WHEATON: You get to have that.

You get to have that. DODGER LEIGH: I’m going to put it on my wall for life. WIL WHEATON: Awesome. Now, even better than that– DODGER LEIGH: Yes. WIL WHEATON: –you are today’s recipient of the official TableTop trophy of awesome.

DODGER LEIGH: I have never felt more legit than right now. This is the legitest I’ve ever felt in my life. WIL WHEATON: I’m so happy to be part of this moment. Let me just inscribe this for you– DODGER LEIGH: Please do. WIL WHEATON: –with my engraving device.

DODGER LEIGH: OK. WIL WHEATON: [SOUNDS OF ENGRAVING] DODGER LEIGH: This is great. I’m glad I’m here for this. Yes. WIL WHEATON: Dodger, this is for you.

Boy did you earn the [BLEEP] out of this trophy.

Please feel free to make a victory acceptance speech. DODGER LEIGH: Thank you so much. I’m so glad that I was able to be here and get this trophy. And no, but really, it was super fun.

WIL WHEATON: That’s rad. I’m glad you had a super good time. DODGER LEIGH: Well thank you. WIL WHEATON: Now look. You get to keep the token.

But I actually have to take this trophy back. Because it was really expensive, as you can tell. And we can’t afford more than one. But look what you get. Tape with your name on it.

Tape with your name on it. DODGER LEIGH: And a token. WIL WHEATON: Maybe you can use that tape to affix the token to your wall. And send us a picture that we can cut to right now. We’ll see you next time on TableTop.

DODGER LEIGH: Genius.
