The Best Medicine to Increase your Analytical Skills!

Hi and welcome to another episode of Mr. puzzle today with an extraordinary looking puzzle, called make a guess the pill, of course yeah. Of course, what else could it be? It is made in Denmark and was designed by Dr. Jasper Billy, who, if he’s not designing puzzles, is in real life, a huh make a guess, make it out. I guess no he’s not a pharmacist. He is a surgeon, but comes close right so, and he designed this puzzle, it comes with the stand.

You’ve seen it already, it’s like one of these wine bottle stands where you can put it inside like so, and then it will balance on one foot down here, which is a pretty cool way to display it, and also, if you look at the puzzle itself, the Outer shell here is made out of aluminum anodized in red and silver, and to me these parts look like not like a as they have been made on a lace, but more like they have been deep, drawn or something a rather unusual process for a puzzle. 

However, you can see it by these markings here on the surface, which are all looking like little scratches pointing in one direction, an interesting way to manufacture it and inside you can hear. There’s a lot going on inside that sounds to me more like uh, some, maybe I’m not sure, sounds not like metal parts but more like plastic parts inside. It’s a sequential puzzle and the task is to open it up and discover the inside and how it works. And on the website it says you will notice once it’s solved, so I have no idea what this means right now. The website, by the way, is puzzle boxes dk.

That’s pretty much about the puzzle and after the spoiler, break you’re gonna see my first attempt trying to open up the pill, understand how it works and find whatever is inside, and here we go. Let’s have a first look. So what is this puzzle about? As I said , it’s made from metal, it’s actually locked by the way, no shaking, no banging , no tapping and stuff like this required.

It’s said to be solved very easily as soon as you know how to do it. Oh now i can twist it oh something happens here. Oh oh, that was fast. What is this? This is full of three holes, two over there.

Where did this pin come out? Probably from here I think. Ah, okay and it was the pin – was gone inside of this hole and locking the puzzle together. So I could not rotate it and it was then interlocked here with these little pieces through these notches and then from back here, okay, but is it already soft? No, it’s gonna be a solution, although also we have here these three holes here, another two and I’m not sure if you can see this, but there is something inside of these holes, it looks like they can be twisted or something – and you can also like – Can i use this for something?

No, I cannot rotate it. It’s difficult to see something. You probably can’t also see something. Let me turn it on here. This ring light above me, so maybe this helps a bit there’s something strange inside here so see this inside here at the bottom. It is like a disc and it can rotate without tapping.

Oh yes, okay! So I rotated this disc and there was like a small hole down here visible. Let me show you since i solved this now, you see this little hole down there, there’s a disc in between there’s a compartment down here. It seems the disc in between and when the discs align with the hole, this thing came out, there’s no magnet or something inside. I think this is just feeling like plastic, very light, and now, let’s try to also open up the other side.

There’s a lot of other things in there. Yes, on the other side, there is another one and I have to tap it. It’s like. I don’t want to be tabbed to rotate okay, so I got these two now and now. What should I do?

Now, what is inside there? Let’s just check – I mean you, also want to see something right. So there is a lot of stuff in there. You can see it, but what is this stuff? You see these little, like plastic springs over there and in the center there’s like a pin or something on the bottom, the very bottom which is like tilted 90 degrees.

So the pin is going in this direction, but not really flat. But somehow i don’t know like 45 degrees and then maybe now screw this off by using these two features. You know, like getting them in here and now. No, what is inside there, man listen to this, it’s full of pills. I probably have no idea what these other two pieces are for, and I think one is slightly bent or something so this pin came up.

You know it’s like 45 degrees down here and it was moving over here. Okay, but not entirely. So I still can’t put anything inside and I think maybe I need to put one thing inside and this thing as well, but how can I rotate it now? Maybe I think, maybe there’s something down here inside like a ball or something blocking this pin from completely getting in because sometimes it moves in like now. But it sticks out for a tiny bit.

Let me just move this, but I’m pretty sure I’m pretty sure there’s something inside here, and this is blocking this pin from getting in and i just need to find the right move to get it inside, I’m very sure about it. We really need to shake it. I mean this is like this: oh, it’s gone, it’s gone, yes, it’s all the way in now. Let me see if I put this inside yes, it gets in oh and I can push it and i can rotate it and i can take it out. Whoa next level, here’s this pin okay.

Now I would like to understand how this works. Actually, I can’t see it because it’s printed all in one piece: here’s the pin! You see this pin. Oh it’s that simple huh! No, it’s not!

I think I can push this thing down and rotate it. I think it should come out now or not. Okay. I can get this down and get this over here. You see this little piece here on the side.

I’M trying to get this out. There’s this little pin here and I’m trying to get this over there and then take it out. Okay. Now it’s all the way over there. Oh okay, this was a bit.

This was stacking up a bit and I think the solved condition came with a little Denmark flag of Denmark in regards to my neighbors in Denmark. Pretty interesting puzzles so much different. I think it’s an interesting design – and here I can see that I maybe was wrong with the conclusion, because from inside it looks pretty much like it was made on a lathe with these steps here and stuff and yeah that has been the puzzle. Let’s put it back together, screwdriver get this spring down here. Let’s get this on top, pull it, push it down and then turn it over.

This was a bit difficult to execute here, so i need to push down this disc to push down this little pin here, and only if i do that i can unlock the puzzle and take out these two pieces here. Okay, so I need to get it in now, but I cannot rotate it. I can only rotate it if I put this piece inside to do it. I need to turn this to the side. As I said, first move the pin in.

I think it’s easier to do it here and take this piece in here to get it in place down there. I need to push down the disc, then I will be able to lock this into place. Oh no, I forgot to get in the flag, and now I need to get those two back in one place. The other one here gets the pin back in like they get it on the top and lock back in place. Difficulty rating.
