THE KAREN PUZZLES PUZZLE IS HERE

You all have been asking for it for years, and you guys you guys today is finally the day that I can announce that the Karen puzzles Puzzle is a real thing check that I made a puzzle. It’s real, it exists. My face is on it not on the puzzle. Just on the box did I make a puzzle, but I teamed up with a Ravensburger Raven’s Burger to release the Karen puzzles Puzzle collection. Can we just can okay?

Can we just so? This is only the first one in that series, and I just wanted to make something that was super bright, super colorful, something that really represented me as a Creator, and I didn’t just want to do a regular thousand piece puzzle. I wanted to give you guys a challenge, so this puzzle is 3 000 pieces. Well, if you want to get technical about it, it’s 3168 pieces and basically the idea behind this puzzle is that it is my homage to gradient puzzles. You know I’ve been doing puzzles.

My entire life, but around the early 2010s, you know I I just wasn’t doing as many all the time and then this is the puzzle. What the original thousand colors puzzle from the playgroup back in, I think, like 2014 This is the one that showed me how modern and Innovative jigsaw puzzles could be, and it really reignited my passion for them again and then, as you’ve seen on this channel, I quickly just became obsessed with gradient puzzles so later on. In this video, I’m gon na go through and explain every single item in this picture, but first I just want to give you guys all of the details that I know you’re asking for. So this puzzle is currently available for pre-order. They should start shipping on November 21st, so plenty of time for Christmas and you can get it on Amazon.

Are you ready, 49.99? Basically, fifty dollars, which is such a good price for a 3 000 piece puzzle, so we have been working to make this happen for a really long time. Now I’m gon na play some clips that I filmed along the way, so you can see like just how far back this project went, but in the early Clips you’re gon na hear me talk about some manufacturing concerns, and that is actually referring to the first idea That I pitched them, which is happening, but it’s not going to be released until the spring. That one is just a little more complicated than this puzzle is so I hope, that’s not too confusing um, let’s roll those clips 22nd, and I thought it was time that I start documenting the Karen puzzles Puzzle.

I just had my second meeting with ravensberger to talk about some of the concepts, some of the manufacturing issues that there might be with like my initial ideas and they are like so into it. I can’t believe this. I can’t believe, I’m working with ravensberger. This is wild. The Karen puzzles Puzzle might finally be a real puzzle.

Okay, but today I’m actually finishing up the 24 000 piece puzzle, so I’m gon na get back to that hi everyone. So it is September 17th. I just got off of my third meeting about the Ravensburger Karen puzzles Puzzle um. I had sent them over a few more ideas of mine and then and over at ravensberger. They found an artist.

They wanted to run by some of his like past designs. Past me to make sure I liked the aesthetic – and I think it looks great so now they’re gon na have him start mocking up the designs and it’s so exciting the puzzle. The puzzle might happen: it’s not the fastest moving project in the world, but you know we’re getting there. Okay. So at this point between the end of 2021 and the beginning of 2022, they told me that that initial idea was possible, but not by Christmas of this year, which is one I really wanted to have a puzzle out.

So we decided to Pivot directions and start working simultaneously on this 3 000 piece puzzle. So here are a few clips of some of my early explorations. So I just had another meeting with ravensberger my first of uh 2022, which hopefully is the year that the first puzzle gets released. I just saw the first concept that our artist just put together. They look really good, I’m so excited to give my feedback, and I’ve also been doing some Explorations down here of different designs for the other puzzle that we’re doing so, things are moving along Karen puzzles Puzzle.

It’S happening it’s coming, so I just found the outro. For my second video in the minions puzzle series – and now I’m in here shooting my custom Ravensburger puzzle – oh my God, so this is concept one that I’ve set up. You can see that I’ve used these um taped together sections of the big gradient puzzle, which we got permission to use and then I’m kind of layering them and putting the rainbow crit pieces on top to get this really fun colorful pattern. So I didn’t record any Vlogs for these clips, but I wasn’t totally sold on just having puzzle pieces in the image. I really wanted it to represent me as a Creator.

More than that, so I went pretty far in the direction of just kind of scattering pieces around it with a lot of extra props and over at Ravensburger. They, you know they liked it, but they weren’t totally sold. So we decided to split the difference and combine those two concepts. Foreign. I can’t believe that, what’s on my dining room table right now is gon na, be a 3 000 piece puzzle released by ravensberger like it’s.

It’S blowing. I’Ve been working on this for a month and it’s still blowing my mind. I just sent in the final photo uh just a few days ago. It’S approved the photos all set, which means I can finally clean this up off of my table. We have gone through so many different rounds of like rearranging things, so this has been all set up out here for like two months and I have just kept it a secret in all of my videos.

So obviously the main focus of this image is these puzzle. Pieces, the pieces on top are actually from the gradient Crypt puzzle also released by ravensberger, and then all of these sections, underneath those are from the 5 000 colors gradient puzzle, which was released by the play group but was manufactured by ravensberger. So that that’s how we were able to work out the permissions for me to use this in my puzzle, image – and I get so many people asking me why I tape my puzzles. My like giant puzzles together into sections, and it’s so that I can do things like this. You know each of these sections in the image is like the exact size that fits in this box, and so I was able to make this sort of gradient Mosaic made entirely out of puzzle pieces.

So everything else in the image also sort of relates back to me for my first jigsaw puzzle release. I really wanted it to almost like tell the story of how I got here. So this is a reference to my DIY days um. This is a pencil holder that I made with my friend Jason in a video back on my old DIY channel. All of these colored pencils are sort of a reference to my art school days, which is when I started my YouTube channel, even though I was never great at drawing with colored pencils, I feel like it’s still sort of represents it in a nice way in a Colorful way for this image, this book is actually a old Pantone Swatch book, and this sort of represents my graphic design career.

This is actually a really really hidden Easter egg, which I don’t think anyone would pick up on. Unless I told you which I’m going to right now, so these colored pencils have these rhinestones glued to the end, and that was actually for a DIY video that I made for HGTV handmade about how to make your craft supplies look extra cute. So two of them made it into the puzzle. I didn’t even tell ravensberger about that one so they’re finding out right now, but that’s my own tiny little Easter egg to my HGTV days. This isn’t quite as much of an Easter egg.

I really just liked the look of this white tray. I thought it broke up the color really nicely and then these plates are from the set of actual plates that I eat off of so I’ve had two out of the six out of commission for a while. So I’m really excited to have those back again to eat off of, but here is the final design. Oh my God. It’S gon na be so sad taking this all apart.

So after I submitted that photo in May I just had to hang tight while the puzzles were manufactured and then at the beginning of September I got a very special box in the mail. Oh my God. Oh my God, my puzzles are here. The samples are here. My Karen puzzles Puzzle is in this box.

Oh my God. Oh my God, this box was so heavy. There are 10 3 000 piece puzzles in here, so 30 000 pieces all together and I had to Lug it up some stairs all by myself: okay, okay, I’m gon na open it, I’m opening it. Oh my God, my puzzles. My custom puzzle is in here, see it.

This is actually too much. Okay! That’S me. This is Raven’s Burger official official Ravensburger. I, like, I, can’t even look at it, I’m too I’m too nervous and stressed, and but also that’s all my stuff.

That’S that’s a picture of me and that’s all my stuff on a ravensburg or puzzle box, I’ve been doing Raven’s Burger puzzles my whole life. This is the craziest thing I’ve ever seen. So, as I said, there are 10 of these hang on. Let me let me zoom out to the wide screen that there are literally 10 copies of this puzzle. Oh there, it is okay.

There are 10 copies of this puzzle in here because they sent me like that too many samples they wanted to send me. Let’S, let’s open one up: let’s just go ahead and open one up just sitting on my living room floor opening my own custom puzzle sweating because uh this is still the summer and we’re still in a heat wave, okay, okay, this is it for the first time. I’M gon na see the actual pieces. Oh there are so many pieces. Oh my gosh.

I wanted to do something different and do like a big 3000 piece puzzle. 3000 pieces is so many pieces trying my best not to spill these literally everywhere. It’S like real ravensberger puzzle pieces, but it’s my design and my dream puzzle, but it’s like legit like the blue, cardboard and everything. Oh, I can’t wait to put this together. Oh my God, this is gon na be so fun.

This is gon na, be super super fun. Okay, I’m already spilling puzzle pieces everywhere. Let me um. Let me let me turn this off. You guys.

I have loved Raven’s Burger puzzles my whole life. I have all of these giant ones here at my parents house and now there’s a Karen puzzles Puzzle which fits right in oh good. I cannot believe that my puzzle is now in the official lexicon of giant Raven’s Burger puzzles. This is so um. I like.

I can’t even tell you how much this means to me check that out. Ah, look at how many pieces, I’m holding in my hand right now and my puzzle fit fits right in all right. So, as you can see, I have already solved the puzzle when I’m filming this video, but I think I’m gon na put all of that footage into a separate video, because I know that some of you expert puzzlers, are gon na want to go in completely fresh. Not knowing my strategies, not knowing what I thought were the hardest parts, so that’ll all be broken out into its own video, which will be up in just a couple days. But here are a couple close-ups of the finished puzzle.

It is truly so beautiful. I had such a great time solving it and it is a pretty easy image for a jigsaw puzzle. So trust me, even if you have never done a puzzle this big before like. I think this is a great one to start with, there’s a lot of color separation and I believe in you. I think you can do it, but okay, slight spoiler, for the next video.

I am going to tell you how long it took me. It took me. 14 hours to complete – and I know that some people have different budgets and fifty dollars can be a lot of money, but I think fifty dollars for a 14 hour activity – it’s pretty reasonable.
