The ULTIMATE Puzzle Gift Guide – Where to Find Rare and Affordable Puzzles!!

Yo, what’s up and welcome back it’s that time of year again the time where you spend all the money that you worked so hard for year round on junk you don’t need. The truth is a lot of. You have been asking me to make a video about puzzles that you can buy over the holidays, and so I’ve compiled a list of puzzles, Puzzle makers and websites that you can visit. If you want to go and stuff someone’s stocking – or you know, spend a little bit more and get something more extravagant for somebody, whether it’s a puzzle box or a jigsaw puzzle or whatever it is so Obi – and I we’re gon na be chilling here: okay, yeah Yeah, can I help you because I hit a cookie under here. He knows it.

Okay, that’s all! I have none left. Okay, all right, so we’re gon na be starting off this video by leaving a like and subscribing. I think we’ll start with something more affordable. More well-known puzzles in the puzzle industry: these are the hanayama puzzles.

Hanayama is a company out of Japan. They are probably the most prolific puzzle creators. They come out with a brand new puzzle at least every month. They are cast metal and they range from levels of difficulty from super easy to extremely difficult. Some of these puzzles could take a minute, as they could take an hour to solve and put back together.

We’ve also released our own, as you may know, our Chris Ramsey hanayama collaboration that one is available on my website, but for all the other hanayama puzzles you can visit the link below this makes for a great stocking stuffer. It also makes for a great sort of coffee table. If you got like one of those little bowls on the coffee table, you just throw that in there. Let people have at her. They can be kind of frustrating and difficult, but they’re fun to put down and get back to plus they fit in your pocket. If you want to carry them around next up we’re going to talk about puzzle boxes.

These are my favorite puzzle boxes. They are not the most difficult in the world, but they are handcrafted and made in Japan. These are the karakori creation group puzzle boxes. These puzzles. Some of these puzzles are hard to come by.

You might be able to find them on karakori’s website. No. Okay, there’s nothing here, there’s ate it all. It’S all gone and these puzzles again range in difficulty from not difficult to moderate difficulty, they’re not extremely hard, but they are fun to have on a shelf, they’re fun to look at and they’re beautiful little works of art. You can also hide something on the inside, so if you’re planning on giving someone special, maybe something that fits into one of these boxes, you might be able to hide it inside one of these plus, when you order these, they come with their own little custom box.

Already so they’re already nice and neatly packaged for you to be able to give them out as a gift. They are some of my favorite puzzles. I’ve done loads and loads of videos on these, so you can check them out on the website and if you can’t find any on the website, I know you probably have to become a member and pay an annual fee to be able to purchase these directly. However, if not, you can probably check them out on eBay. You might be paying a little bit more, but it’s definitely worth it.

I’Ve left a few links below where you can check these out as well, including Puzzle, Master and art of play. You’Re just Restless, I’m trying to make a video. Can you chill? Next up? We have jigsaw puzzles.

Aren’T your average jigsaw puzzles. These are made up of plastic they’re, one-dimensional. However, they all have a very creative solution and sometimes only four or five pieces, but still hard enough. That it’ll take you maybe over an hour to complete and solve. We have various creators making these now, including you Asaka um.

I’Ve also left the link to a few different ones below. There’s this one from art of play, which is pretty simple. I enjoyed this one because again it looks simple, but it is kind of difficult foreign. Are you a good dude? Are you good? Can we chill so yeah these make for great little presents they pack flat uh.

They don’t take up too much room and they’re. Not too expensive either, but they are a lot of fun and something you could probably do uh alone or with other people now to upgrade. We are going to talk about these particular puzzle boxes which are basically Escape rooms inside of a box. Now, coincidentally, all three of these companies are from Germany, you have potato, puzzles ID Venture and Escape vet. These are three different companies that do roughly the same type of puzzles.

They are Miniature Escape puzzles, boxes that take anywhere between 40 and 60 Minutes, sometimes even 90 minutes to complete. I’ve done a variety of these on my channel, they’re always a lot of fun and they are always very intelligently made. These include laser engraved wood, sometimes plastic and sometimes there’s a little surprise on the inside as well. These are especially a lot of fun if you’re gon na do this with another person or people, you guys can share the task and try to complete these tiny escape room puzzle boxes together. I highly recommend these and again these are very affordable, as are most of the puzzles that I’ve shown you today. They range from anywhere between Thirty and fifty dollars but, like I said, you’re gon na get a lot of play time and you said that and if you’re a fan of those intricate puzzle boxes but are on a budget, this is the closest thing.

You’Re gon na get to that. And lastly, I don’t have a lot to present you that are on the upper higher end of the puzzle box world. But what I do have are the puzzles from nkd. They release maybe one a year but they’re, always so beautiful, including the mechanigma and this one here, the architecto, which is probably my favorite puzzle, they’ve ever done. It has over 119 steps to complete, but you will be paying a whopping like four thousand dollars.

For one of these puzzles, it’s very, very expensive, but if you can get your hands on it, definitely worth a while, especially if you’re into puzzling as much as I am now. Of course, there are other puzzle box creators on Etsy um on eBay and pretty much all over the Internet, which range from 3D printing to hand crafting metal puzzles. I know that stribos is a puzzle creator that puts out some pretty expensive and elaborate puzzles every now, and then there are definitely a whole bunch. So if you go down the rabbit hole, you’ll be able to find some more. But I hope today’s video gave you a bit of a heads up or a head start rather on which puzzles to pick up over the holidays and you might want to hurry up because, obviously you know with shipping and everything else.

There will be some delays. But if you guys use the links below they do support this channel directly, as well as the smaller businesses and basically help them out during the holidays. So if you’re so inclined guys. I hope you enjoyed this video a bit of a different change of pace, but just something for you guys to think about over the next few weeks, leave a like, subscribe and we’ll see on the next one.
