This Puzzle Might Self Destruct!! – Bomb Destroyer SD Puzzle

Thank you, so I reached out to this company called unique dice because I saw this online and this was on Kickstarter. Actually, there’s like three or four days left on Kickstarter. Now I’m an avid Board Game Fan. I love Dungeons and Dragons. I love all sorts of board games and this essentially replaces all the dye that you have or all the dice is Dice, plural or singular.

Basically, what you have here is a D12 a D6 and a D4 over. Here we got the D20, the d10 and the d8. All you have to do, there’s a small mechanism on the inside and you just spin it and wherever those Arrow lands. Let’S say I’m rolling a d8, I would have rolled a six say on a D12 here on the top. I would have rolled a four, so a very unique way.

I mean they’re called they’re literally called unique dice, but I just wanted to share this with you guys in case you guys wanted to check it out. You got like three or four days left on the kickstarter, so I thought I’d show you but super super cool. I left a link below where you guys can check it out Wednesday, another puzzle uh. This time we got a really cool one. This is the Bomb Destroyer by Andre Bruns from my understanding is Ukrainian and he put this up for sale.

The project of this puzzle was started last year and from 24th of February 2022, real Russian bombs dropping on my town and my country, but if your love for puzzle making is strong, you can do them even at War. I wish peaceful Skies to all of you and I want that you can see War only in fantastic movies or virtual games. I mean if this was anyone anyone else other than living in the Ukraine, making this particular puzzle. I would think it a bit weird because it’s in the shape of a bomb but coming from someone who is in a war-torn country, I mean it kind of makes sense.

So without any further Ado, this is sequential Discovery puzzle. So we’re going to be finding Tools in here to help us open it and solve it. This is the Bomb, Destroyer, looks cool and uh. It looks like a bomb.

So let’s try. Let’S tread carefully here. Why don’t we I feel, like I can unscrew this? Oh there we go, there seems to be a little hole there and I can line up that hole with it with a hole. Underneath you can see that I’m guessing there’s some type of pin not sure entirely what the goal is here, but I guess it’s to take this apart right now, checking for magnets, real, quick, remember why there’s a hole here if I was supposed to line up with This somehow maybe tapping it here.

You know bombs, usually they they have like this point of uh explosion. I guess maybe I got ta line up that hole somehow and I’m not sure why there’s a whole here, because there doesn’t seem to be anything on this side up that hole now, there’s something rattling on the inside and it’s just rattling sort of back and forth. Still don’t understand why this hole would have a hole there as well. Those would line up to what what would they line up to is there? Is there a pin, that’s supposed to come out of this side?

I don’t see anything in there. There is a small bearing in there a small bead, a small ball bearing in there. So I’m wondering how to get that out or into the other one on the bottom of this cylinder as well. There’S like a small little Notch, and maybe that Notch has to do some with something all right. Why doesn’t it close now?

It’S almost like this thing fits like perfectly. Oh look at that watch pulls it out. How cool is that okay hold on? I guess I’m gon na put it in here now. Okay, now, that’s in there do I close everything up.

What do I do here? What do we do after it’s locked so now that we drop it? I don’t know. Oh, oh, yes, wow. What a clever puzzle look at that we got a coin Skynet.

It says: Skynet, 2051, Only for human one megawatt: what’s this a reference to Skynet is your friend: what’s we what’s Skynet from, let me know in the chat in the comments yeah Terminator, oh thought, it sounded familiar the Terminator token very cool. So let’s put this back that goes in there. This was very clever, then do now do I need that PIN? Oh, I see so. The PIN when one dropped into this hole right goes through here and the pin would land in one of these holes allowing this to be screwed or unscrewed.

Oh, that is, tricky, sits in there. There we go now that is locked. Now I can take the pin out. I can then place the pin in the little pneumatic level. Look at how cool this is by the way that only when you really slam it down and now you really have to slam it down and the second you remove this.

There must be a magnet on the other side because it gets pulled right back in so devious, so clever. That goes. There comes back here, screwed in oh hold on I’m missing a step, oh right, right right! This has to go here all the way down and now this can get fitted and we are back to the beginning, with the Bomb Destroyer. What an amazing, sequential Discovery puzzle, the Simplicity of this puzzle, and yet the complexity at the same time is very clever.

It’S it’s not too much, it’s one of those things where you get an aha moment, and once you have that aha moment, you’re, like oh, my God, this is genius and that those are my favorite type of puzzles, not the ones where you’re raking, your brain for, Like four hours, but the ones that are like it’s just the one special thing, but when you figure that out everything comes apart and it’s really beautiful, elegant, simple uh hope you enjoyed it well there you have it super clever puzzle. Super super, clever design. I believe this puzzle maker also made The Machinist puzzle was like a it. Was a metal puzzle, sequential Discovery puzzle that we also did, but nonetheless, this is incredibly clever like at first everything is a little bit too easy and you’re opening it up and you’re. Like.

Oh, this isn’t going to take long at all and just like most of those type of puzzles. Eventually, you do end up getting stuck, but not before discovering the brilliant little plot twist, which was you know, slamming it down to get that climatic sort of action. Popping up the pin stuff like that really really makes me happy when I’m solving puzzles not every day that you get to encounter a new type of mechanism in these clever little puzzle.
