One-Line

How to play

Draw one unbroken line that starts on 1, passes through the numbers in order, ends on the highest number and fills every square exactly once. Drag from 1 (or tap a square next to the end of your line to extend it by one). Drag back over your own line, or tap a square on it, to erase back to that point. Each erased square counts as a backtrack.

Frequently asked questions

How do you play One-Line?
Draw a single line that starts on 1, passes through the numbered squares in order, ends on the highest number and fills every square exactly once. It moves up, down, left or right and never crosses itself. Drag from 1, or tap a square next to the end of your line to extend it by one.
How do I undo a wrong turn?
Drag back over your own line, or tap any square on it, and the line is erased back to that point. Reset clears the whole line after a confirm. Each erased square counts as a backtrack: three or fewer is gold, ten or fewer is silver.
Is today's puzzle the same for everyone?
Yes. One-Line is generated from the calendar date (US Eastern), so everyone gets the same grid, and each one has exactly one answer. It is 5×5 on Monday and Tuesday, 6×6 on Wednesday and Thursday, and 7×7 from Friday, with fewer numbers on Sunday. Open a past day with ?d=YYYY-MM-DD.
