How to play

Fill every empty cell with the polyomino pieces from the tray. Tap a piece, rotate it, tap the board to preview, then tap the preview again to place it.

Tap a placed piece to pick it up (that counts as a removal). You get 3 hints; a hint rules out gold. Give up reveals one valid tiling and completes the day with no medal.

How do you play Shape Pack?

The board shows a silhouette of empty cells. The tray holds polyomino pieces that together cover every empty cell exactly once. Tap a piece, rotate it if you need to, tap the board to see a green preview snapped to the nearest legal spot, then tap that preview again to place it. Tap a placed piece to pick it back up.

What counts as a removal?

Picking a placed piece back up counts as one removal. Removals decide your medal: gold allows at most two with no hint, silver allows up to 10, and bronze is any solve.

Can I get hints?

Yes, three per puzzle. A hint places one correct piece and says so in one sentence. Using a hint rules out gold. Give up reveals one valid tiling and completes the day with no medal — it still counts for your streak, but not as a puzzle solved.

Is there only one right answer?

No. Any tiling that covers the silhouette with the tray pieces counts. The game checks that every empty cell is covered, not one stored answer.

Is today's puzzle the same for everyone?

Yes. Shape Pack is generated from the calendar date (US Eastern), so everyone gets the same puzzle. Open a past day with ?d=YYYY-MM-DD.
