Place the four white circles in the frame! – The Green 13

Welcome to another episode of Mr. Puzzle, where we take on the Green 13, a challenging packing puzzle designed by Japanese puzzle-maker Ju Asaka. Rated at a difficulty level of 4 out of 5 and with a target solving time of 1.5 hours, this puzzle is not for the faint of heart. The goal is to place all the green pieces and the four white circles flat inside the frame.

The Green 13 may appear simple at first glance, but its design offers a unique challenge. The task is to determine the correct orientation and placement of the green pieces to create four holes for the white circles. Throughout the solving process, trial and error plays a significant role as various combinations are tested.

After several attempts, the right solution is found by rearranging the green pieces and creating a split between vertical and horizontal orientations. Once three holes are created, a slight rearrangement of the pieces finally reveals the fourth hole, solving the puzzle in approximately 35 minutes.

The Green 13 provides a stimulating and engaging challenge, testing one’s patience and problem-solving skills. While the solving process may be difficult to follow, the satisfaction of finding the right combination makes this puzzle worth the effort.

If you enjoy tackling challenging puzzles and pushing your problem-solving abilities to the limit, the Green 13 is an excellent choice. Happy puzzling!
